Cartier Panthère

Yes, ladies and gentleman, this is the it-girl watch. Originally worn by Keith Richards and Pierce Brosnan, this easy-going (yet elevated!) piece rose in popularity in the ‘90s, spotted on the wrists  of it girls eternal like Naomi Campbell to Gwyneth Paltrow. It’s now highly coveted and frequently worn by it-girls du jour like Bella Hadid, Sama and Haya Khadra, and Zendaya. What’s cool about THIS particular Panthère (“panther” in French, duh) is that, unlike Bella’s, it’s WHITE gold. Meaning it’s just as expensive, but that much more understated. The ultimate flex. A real IYKYK piece with a lil added (factory) bling because, why not?

THE NITTY GRITTY:

A solid eighteen carat white gold Panthère de Cartier quartz model with original and factory pavé set brilliant cut diamonds into the bezel. This is a special take on their classic model, which also sees the trademark cabochon sapphire being subbed out for a brilliant cut diamond also into the crown. These special details were reserved for the finest example watches Cartier produced, and helped the eye note that this is not your classic stainless steel version.

The integrated bracelet is in excellent condition throughout, and remains very tight. The original clasp is present and works perfectly. The dial on this example is particularly beautiful and highlights the difference from the contemporary version. Rather than the classic and iconic black printed Roman numerals, this white gold dial has the Roman numerals high-gloss polished back to the metal, while the remaining area of the dial is frosted and matte. The Cartier logo, fine part of the ten o’clock marker holding the hidden Cartier signature, and the “Swiss'' below the six o’clock marker are then all black printed on top of the matte, frosted finish. The overall result is beautiful and time consuming to achieve, relying on at least three processes.
